We proudly held our 6th Graduation Ceremony on Friday 22nd Aug 2025, marking a milestone in the journey of academic excellence, leadership, and innovation in energy education. The event brought together graduates, families, faculty, distinguished guests, and friends of IPSK in a vibrant celebration of achievement and promise for the future.
The event commenced with Opening Remarks from the Principal, Mr. James Mugerwa, who set the tone for the day by commending the graduates for their resilience, dedication, and commitment to excellence. He emphasized IPSK’s continued mission of equipping students with skills and knowledge to drive Uganda’s energy sector forward.
The Chairperson of the Governing Council, Mr. Abraham Nkata, followed with remarks that encouraged the graduates to embrace innovation, integrity, and leadership as they step into new professional horizons
The ceremony was blessed with an uplifting message from the Preacher of the Day, Rev. Canon Paul Wasswa Sembiro, who urged graduates to pursue their careers with humility, faith, and purpose, reminding them that true success is built on strong values and service to others.
The Chancellor of IPSK, Hon. Justice Oscar John Kihika, Justice of the Court of Appeal, delivered a powerful speech. He highlighted the importance of discipline, ethical leadership, and lifelong learning, underscoring that IPSK graduates carry a responsibility not just to themselves, but to the nation and the global energy industry.
The highlight of the day was the speech by the Guest of Honour, Ms. Lynda Biribonwa, Board Chairperson of the Petroleum Authority of Uganda. In her inspiring address, she congratulated the graduates and challenged them to become pioneers of innovation in Uganda’s petroleum and energy sector. She emphasized resilience, professionalism, and the importance of shaping an energy industry that contributes to sustainable national development.
The Class of 2025 proudly received their awards in front of cheering families and friends. Each graduate represented not just personal achievement, but also the collective vision of IPSK — to raise skilled and ethical professionals who will transform the future of energy in Uganda and beyond.
The success of the ceremony was made possible by the collective efforts of the IPSK community. We extend our sincere gratitude to our distinguished guests, faculty, staff, families, and all who attended to support and celebrate our graduates.
