Module Overview

The course gives fundamental information about the basic principles and issues of taxation. The course also examines the various tax and revenue processes in respect of the various taxes imposed by the central government.

Objectives

  1. To introduce basic concepts of taxation to enable students appreciate the role of taxation in the economic development
  2. To show how taxation affects national/macroeconomic decisions and its impact on socio-economic development of a nation
  3. To equip students with various aspects of taxation theory ,and computation so that at the end of the study they will be able to tackle practical taxation problems
