Module Overview

This course offers students a thorough survey of the New Testament.  Students will be expected to understand the historical framework of the life and teachings of Jesus and the early Church, as well as the general content of the New Testament books and the theological message(s) they convey.

Objectives

  1. To gain an appreciation of the New Testament books as witnesses to Jesus Christ.
  2. To understand the history and message of Jesus and the early Church.
  3. To learn skills of interpretation by practicing exegesis on selected texts.
  4. To relate the New Testament’s mesage to one’s life and the contemporary world.
