We paid a courtesy visit to one of our partners (UPIK) to meet with the Principal, Mr. Bernard Ongodia to action implementation of our existing MOU as well as talk about the MOU renewal due August 2024.
The visit yielded good results starting with our Undergraduates to have 2 football games against UPIK in a cup we have dubbed “The Energy Cup”. This will be played over two legs (home & away) with the winner on aggregate taking the inaugural cup. This will later lead to the creation of an Energy League with Oil and Gas Trainers’ Association of Uganda members participating.
We also discussed joint research programs and a coordinator from UPIK will lead the efforts based on the industry research demands.
